Over the few short months the Warblers were on Glee this season, we developed a subfandom around them.

We started out as people who were excited for Darren on Glee, and we didn’t think twice of the dapper guys in that first photo released.

But then Teenage Dream happened, and we fell in love or something like it. We started making inside jokes (FISTPUMPING DAN) and writing fanfiction and just sitting around on tumblr talking about them.

Then they started developing a bit in Special Education and, by that time, we were already a tiny bit obsessed.

They literally got us through the hiatus like nothing else could.

And just. Ughdsg. All the inside jokes, the DoMondays, the MannChats. Curt Mega popping in to the livestream chats like a ninja and Riker Lynch getting a tumblr. All of them replying to us on twitter and #FREEPAV campaigns aplenty. An escape from the drama of New Directions while still getting some drama of our own— Luke/Pav, anybody? Heh.

In all seriousness and in all honesty, the people I’ve come to know and love— fans and Warblers alike— through this quirky little subfandom are ones who have given me many smiles, many laughs, many memories.

It’s not like it’s going to stop anytime soon; we sure as hell won’t let it.

But the first chapter in the Book of Dapper has closed. The one filled with fistpumps and sidesteps and slowmotion hallways and epic fanfictions and YOU MOCK US, SIR and gavels and chess games and everything in between.

All I can say at the end of it all is that, to every party involved— you are fucking amazing. Thank you for absolutely everything.

Here’s to all the chapters to come.
